On November 21, 2014, the CSULB Shotokan Karate Club hosted its the belt-ranking test of Fall 2014 semester, commonly known as the kyu test. “Kyu” refers to the ranks of white belt and brown belt. “Dan” refers to the ranks of black belt; black belt test is known as “dan test” and is hosted only at summer special training.
